Sweat (induced sweating)
Swedana is a traditional Ayurvedic steam therapy that induces therapeutic sweating to eliminate toxins through the skin. Using herbal decoctions in a steam chamber or localized steam application, this treatment opens the pores, liquefies toxins, and prepares the body for deeper cleansing therapies.
Herbal steam opens the skin channels (srotas) and causes profuse sweating. This process liquefies accumulated toxins in the tissues and channels, making them easier to eliminate. The heat also improves circulation and relaxes tense muscles.
